biography...

At the age of thirteen, Desiree released a CD entitled, "All You Gotta do is Try," which compiled nine original songs. Her song, "My Destiny," reached the Canadian Country Music Charts.

Desiree's music has given her the opportunity to share stages with Charlie Major, Tom Jackson, Susan Aglukark, Rita Coolidge and George Canyon.

Desiree took a break from music to pursue a law degree. Armed with a law degree, in 2008, Desiree attended Amp Camp, a professional and artistic development program, which reignited her hunger to do what she loves most - music.

Desiree has fine tuned her vocals and her songwriting abilities. In 2010, she joined forces with Arun Chaturvedi, who produced her latest release, "Soul Back Jack." The result is a sometimes sassy, tongue-in-cheek, heartfelt album. "Soul Back Jack," won Desiree her first award at the 2010 Canadian Aboriginal Music Awards for Best Country Album, where she was also nominated for Best Female Artist. Also in 2010, Desiree was nominated for Best Country CD at the Aboriginal Peoples Choice Music Awards. In April, 2011, Desiree won the award for Best Country Album at the North American Indigenous Image Awards.

This gifted writer and storyteller strikes a chord by finding the commonality in us all as witnessed by her latest release, “Soul Back Jack.” A classy country girl, she always leaves you wanting more.

Desiree!
